1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

1.1. Welcome to WastePay! By downloading, installing, or using the WastePay app ("App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1.2. WastePay reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms at any time. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms periodically to ensure your compliance.

2. Registration and User Accounts

2.1. To use the App, you must register and create a user account. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration and maintain the security of your account credentials.

2.2. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, please notify WastePay immediately.

3. Recycling Services and WasteCoins

3.1. WastePay provides recycling services to individuals and households. Users can recycle sorted waste materials as specified in the App.

3.2. Users may receive rewards, in the form of virtual currency called "WasteCoins," for participating in recycling activities. WasteCoins can be redeemed for various vouchers, airtime, data, insurance, groceries, bill payments, and more, following industry-standard practices for the redemption of virtual currency for gift cards and vouchers.

3.3. The process of redeeming WasteCoins for gift cards involves selecting a gift card of your choice from the available options in the App. Once selected, the corresponding amount of WasteCoins will be deducted from your WasteCoin balance, and the gift card will be issued to you electronically.

4. WasteCoins Usage and Limits

4.1. WasteCoins are virtual currency and can only be used within the WastePay ecosystem.

4.2. Users may transfer WasteCoins to other WastePay users, recharge airtime, shop at merchant stores, start insurance plans, and send eGiftCards to loved ones, subject to WastePay's policies and limits, similar to industry-standard practices for the use of virtual currency and gift cards.

5. Topping up Wallet Balance

5.1. Users have the option to top up their wallet balance for increased flexibility and enhanced usability. You can top up your wallet balance using the following methods:

a. Mobile Money: To top up your wallet using mobile money services, navigate to the designated section within the App, select your preferred mobile money provider, and follow the instructions provided. You will be prompted to enter the desired amount to top up your wallet.

b. Bank Transfer: For users who prefer bank transfer, initiate a bank transfer to the provided WastePay bank account details. Ensure to include your unique user identifier or reference code in the transaction details. Once the transfer is completed, your wallet balance will be updated accordingly.

5.2. Please note that additional fees or charges may apply depending on your chosen payment method, mobile money provider, or bank.

6. Recycling Program

6.1. WastePay encourages responsible waste disposal and recycling. Users must follow waste separation guidelines provided in the App.

6.2. Recycling services are subject to availability and may vary by location.

7. Termination

7.1. WastePay reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts if violations of these Terms are detected.

7.2. Users may terminate their accounts at any time by following the App's instructions.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1. WastePay is not responsible for any damages, losses, or liabilities arising from the use of the App or the recycling program.

9. Governing Law

9.1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda.
